A summer opera workshop in Chianti in Tuscany led by soprano Nicola Beller Carbone and director Paul Curran working both individually and in collaboration on voice and acting. The aim is to use our former experience as professionals in middle of our careers and having had countless requests to help young singers in classes and rehearsals, we feel we can be of very practical help in guiding young people in what working in the opera world is today as: Working with a director/conductor Repertoire preparation Rehearsal techniques Dealing with the daily difficulties of rehearsing or performing We both feel strongly that opera is an entirely collaborative art form, the singer can’t “do it alone”. Simply “singing” is not enough. Opera is music theatre, bringing vocal, acting, emotional and imaginative skills together through the voice, body and music.

Every day wine tasting, visit of the farm, appetizers with bread made from antique grains, local meats and cheeses, wine or artisan brewed beer, dinner are organized.

Thursday July 30th: Children entertain with Giochiamo Giocamuseo.

Saturday August 1st: Tuscan folks songs with guitarist.

La Fraschetta is a summer program of musical events that take place in Paluffo area; starting from July 29th to August 26th several artist will permorm with the following dates:

-July 29th: Que Pasa Trio with a pianist, guitar adn sax tenor players

-August 5th: Maxtime Quartet: sax tenor, pianist, contrabass and drums

-August 12th: Overtones sax quartet: sopran sax, tenor sax, baritone sax, contralto sax

-August 19th: Italian and American swing jazz with vocalist, guitar abd walkin'bass

-August 26th: Naomi Berrill, irish vocalist and cello player

Every event start at 8pm, then the dinner with ther performer follows.
