A long-awaited event, which is renewed again this year and that will appeal primarily to the general public that loves making creations manuals, using any type of material.
The visitors, from 09:30 to 19:00, will have access to the stands, they will observe materials, colors and new ideas, but also they will be educated and be fascinated by the many artisans who will share these techniques and ways of working.
A true realm of the handmade, colorful and creative, full of paintings, decoupage, lace, patchwork, embroidery, beading and sewing.
Also interesting are the areas dedicated to “Cake design” and “Sugar Art”, with the presence of pastry chefs and experienced exhibitors.
A window that opens, as usual to the period of waiting for the Christmas, providing a further opportunity to put into practice what has been seen and learned.

Costs: Admission to the public costs € 10.00 with reductions to € 5.00 for disabled, people over 70, groups of over 10 people. Children up to 10 years and carers of people with disabilities are free.

Il Ballo del Ceppo

"FEshion Eventi", ProLoco Certaldo and the theatrical company "I Muffins" are happy to invite witches, wizards and magical creatures of all ages to the unique and inimitable "Ballo del Ceppo" which will be hosted in the medioeval village of Certaldo Alto (Firenze), on Saturday the 20th of may at 8.00 p.m.
We will bring the magical atmosphere of Harry Potter and the Hogwarts school in Certaldo!
Who has never desired to take part to "Il Ballo del Ceppo"?! But it is not only about the ball, there will also be games, entertainments and an awards ceremony in Harry Potter style, which will be lead by Hogwarts educators interpreted by "I Muffins".
Here it is the program of the event:
-Everyone will receive a precious bijoux to wear during the event, at the beginning of the ball 
-There will be the candidacy of people who will like to take part in the "Tre Maghi" competition by putting thier names in the "Calice di Fuoco"
-During the "Tre Maghi" competition, competitors will have to face 3 trials and at the end the winner will be announced and will receive the "Tre Maghi" trophy
-The ball will start at 9.00 p.m and "Los Huevos Rancheros" group will paly the typical Hogwarts waltz music 
-There will be an award ceremony for the best witch/wizard of the event at 23.30 p.m 
-At the end of the ball there will be the typical Silente's say good night. 
The price to take part to the event is 18 € and it includes:

As dress code, elegant and ceremony dresses are required.

The Flight of the Donkey

The Flight of the Donkey

The traditional festival of the Flight of the Donkey has taken place for over 5 centuries in the suggestive frame of piazza Farinata degli Uberti, to commemorate the celebrations of the Empoli townspeople following the legendary “conquest of San Miniato”, which took place with an army of foot soldiers and goats. The historic procession with the donkey, townsfolk from Empoli, Pontorme and Monterappoli, together with drummers from the Saint Andrea Company and the flag carriers of Cerreto Guidi and the drummers of Carmignano,  takes place the day before the Feast of Corpus Christi.

To note: in 1861 the festival, which was to include the “flight” of a real live donkey, was forbidden by law due to the extreme cruelty inflicted on the animal.

The celebrations were only reinstated in 1981, substituting the donkey with a dummy.
